My Daughter's Corona Wedding

טכניקות:
I used fuseable applique, Free motion quilting, embroidery, and pencil drawing. I created the background of the quilt first – the bride and groom. For her veil, I added organza. I then covered the whole background with tulle to give the impression of distance. I then created the cellphone image and hand by layering multiple fabrics. The individual bubble images I drew by hand, using colored pencils. The text was hand embroidered.

My daughter got married during the Corona shut down. Although she wasn't able to have the wedding she planned, she had a beautiful wedding for all to see. The wedding was on our neightbor's porch and people watched from below, as well as on facebook and Zoom. This quilt is based on a picture that was taken during the ceremony. I am so thankful for technology that allowed us to share this wonderful occaision!
